COMMUNITY GROUPS & LOCAL BUSINESSES: HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Thank you for your interest!

Community groups, non-profit organizations, and certain for-profit businesses are invited to set up at the Media Farmers Market to promote their mission, events, services, or products. We do not permit community groups or non-profit organizations to give out food or fundraise at the market. With managerial approval, certain for-profit businesses are permitted to sample and sell items, including food.

Eligibility Standards & Market Fees

Below is a list of the types of organizations and businesses eligible to attend the market alongside the farmers, bakers, and other vendors. Most participants will be charged a $50 market fee to support our market operations.

Free Participation/No Market Fee: only community groups & non-profit organizations with a Media Borough address are invited to participate for free.

All others will be charged a market fee, including:

(1) Local chapters of regional or national non-profit organizations, even with an address in the Media Borough;

(2) Community groups & non-profit organizations that are established outside of Media Borough;

(3) Local for-profit businesses that are not chapters or franchises of a larger business; special preference will be shown to businesses within the Media Borough.

We reserve the right to decline an application if the organization or business does not align with the values associated with a producer-only farmers market; we do not accept applications from groups, organizations, or businesses that intend to promote any political party or figure.

Market fees will be paid to Evergreen Events, the market management company.

Market Space & Parking

We can offer one 10ft x 10ft space for your set-up within the market, the size of a typical pop-up tent. We cannot always offer a parking spot and may ask you to unload your supplies and materials into your spot. Free parking spots are available right outside the market area. You must supply your own equipment and set-up; we do not have extra tents or tables to borrow.

Market Activities & Promotion

We do not allow participants to collect donations or fundraise at market. All participants are encouraged to promote your events and mission, distribute promotional materials, collect email addresses, and give away non-food items to the shoppers.

Some guests who pay a market fee may be permitted to sell items upon managerial approval. We reserve the right to not permit the selling of food items based on DelCo Health Dept regulations and our own producer-only Market Rules, found on our website HERE.

The Contact Form will give you the opportunity to request selling items or food during your market visit.

Scheduling

It is our policy to limit the number of organizations or businesses to only 2 participants per market day, and to no more than 2 times per month.

However, we can adjust that policy to help promote a specific event or a service that only happens during a specific time of year.

The contact form will give you the opportunity to request certain dates or times of year.
